I'm here!
Now what the heck was I going to write?
In regards to the last entry, I did end up going to Berlin Raceway that night. Just about the perfect night for it too. Wasn't too hot when the sun was still out, not too cold after it went down. Great racing all night in all the classes. And the Grey Audi's starter worked the whole day, which is helpful because I was not able to park in a push-friendly position.
On that note, that car I am still grateful to God for it still starting almost everytime. I was able to get the axle in the lil red 4000, but the ball-joint wouldn't go back in the hub, almost as if the new axle is like 10mm too long or something. I probably just did something wrong.
This past Saturday I was going to go to Berlin again, but ended up going to my parent's condo with my kids to see my aunt and uncle who were up from Texas. It was good to see them again, it had been a few years. Some of my other cousins were there too, so my kids got play with some kids more their age. Of course I spent time with them too.
In other news, fall is truly upon us now, and I'm glad for it. Cooler temperatures all around. 60's in the day, 40's at night, colors changing, this is definitely my season. I'm ok with temps in the 70's, 80's can be ok too. But much above 85 and I'm seeking AC if possible, or at least a breeze of any sort. I run hot naturally, so hot days do not suit me well.
Ok, I think I've run empty again, so this is where I leave you.
God's blessings and Love to all of you :]

Black Thursday, Part II
Part I was Valentines Day, as that was a Thursday as well. Part II refers to the fact that today would have been our 11th anniversary, until she decided otherwise. Oh and this time Thursday is Saturday. It's almost 4AM, just go with it.
But I didn't come here to write about that. I just figured that it's been almost a month, so I should write something.
I have 2 running cars now, as the Grey Audi decided to resurrect itself. At least for now, for which I am grateful as the Red Audi ate it's right front CV-joint late last week. Almost got the new axle put in today though. I say almost because I was able to get the old one out, but not the new one in. Which, although not the desired outcome, is an improvement. In case I need to drive that car somewhere, I don't have that axle clanking around up there threatening to bind up anymore. Likewise I am fortunate that the 4000 is a Quattro (Audi's term for AWD), and therefore it is driveable by locking the center differential.
Now, I'm not calling it good as it sits, I will get that new axle in. I just need to figure out how to pop the lower control arm completely out of the axle hub.
Reading back through past entries, I've noticed I don't ramble on about computery stuffs nearly as much as I used to. Potentially because I haven't really done anything to this computer I have. I used to upgrade regularly. The only thing I did to this computer in the past 3 1/2 years is upgrade the memory from 1 to 2 Gigabytes. Well, I actually ordered 4 1 GB sticks of memory, because that is the most this motherboard can handle, allegedly, as it has 4 memory slots. However. It gets very grumpy when you try to use more than 2. Oh, and make sure the 2 you use are the orange-colored ones. The yellow-colored slots also make the motherboard grumpy. I asked their tech-support people, and was told that if you get it to work with more than 2 sticks of RAM, you got extremely lucky. I then asked what the point was of putting 4 slots on the board if only 2 are going to work, he said he didn't know. Sweet.
Oh, and the only other upgrade I did, I actually did twice. I upgraded to an LCD screen. The first time, to a 20". It was nice. It got sold while I was on the road for work. >:| So it was back to a 17" CRT. This spring I'd had enough of it, and picked up a 22" LG Widescreen on a sweet deal at Best Buy.
Alrighty, enough rambling from me. Maybe to sleep? Maybe? If it doesn't rain, maybe I'll go to Berlin Raceway tonight. Could be just what I need.
Take care y'all.
