Where in the world is...

...uh, me? Well, this week finds me in Phoenix, AZ. Guess what has happened the last 3 days I've been here? Rain. In the desert. Even a Thunder Storm, woohoo! Yes, I like storms.
And I am happy to be out of Vegas. I just didn't like being there. Colorado was much better, but still not home. I'm sure I'll get back there sometime... home, that is. Actually there was one other interesting bit to Nevada. Upon embarking on highway 93 East out of NV instead of highway 95, because 93 was more direct, I ended up driving over the Hoover dam. I guess I missed that part on the map. Being that I was pulling a trailer at the time, the security checkpoint was *fun*. But after security looked through the trailer and were assured that my displays were not bombs to blow the dam with, I was cleared. I have no pictures of the dam, or Lake Mead, because traffic was horrible, so no drive and point and shoot this time. And the scenic overlooks were all full.

Speaking of pictures, I have uploaded the ones I took of the Las Vegas Strip, some of the Road Trip through Colorado, and some of the AirShow in Phoenix.

Next after Az, comes California, again. For all of 1 or 2 shows. But I guess the one confirmed is at an Intel facility in Folsom. Hey, I may like AMD better, but if Intel gives out free samples, I can pretend. "Do you like Intel?" "why yes, yes I do." "Very good, have this Core 2 Duo QX6700 quad core CPU and required motherboard." Hey, one can dream, can't he?
Which is good, because I only see home in my dreams these days...

What's after California?

What happens in Vegas...

...Will be going to Denver, CO next. Yeah, I have been here in Las Vegas since Feb 23. Wheeee, I am so excited. Is your sarcasm detector going off yet? It should be. This is a place I probably never would have come on my own, but since the job dragged me here. Notable highlights of being here, drove down the strip here, once. Looks pretty at night. That's about it. My days off have been spent doing...nothing. Well, I did laundry one of them.
Atleast the weather has been nice. Well, it snowed once, but besides that.

Even though it has been cold and snowy, windy and snowy, and snowy and snowy back home, I would still rather be there. This business of being away from home all the damn time is getting really tiring. I knew I wasn't going to like it much, but I needed a job, and this one pays well enough. Hopefully soon I can find one close to home that is close to as good. Somehow.

Alot of people would love a job where you travel cross country for a living. And if I could bring the family with me, so would I. But I can't, so therefore I don't really like it. I like being able to see my Wife and kids more than a couple days every 6-8 weeks. I would like to vacation with them for a few days every so often, but to only be in the same state and see them that often, no.

Well, enough ranting from me.
