It is time

It is almost time for me to return home again, on Saturday. I have been away since Jan 8, so it has been a significant amount of time since I have seen home. Although, most people would be more than happy to be where I have been since, Florida and California. I had been to Daytona, FL before and already knew I liked it there, but it didn't hurt the fact that the weather was gorgeous while I was there, save for the 2 days of drizzle. As for California, this trip has been to the mid-northern part, which I like because it is decidedly the opposite of Los Angeles. I have no pictures of Cali, I simply did not take any. Here in Tulare, CA the event we were at was the World Agriculture Expo, something I would have more expected to be at home in, say, Iowa. And to my surprise it was not redneck heaven there. It was something like a Mecca for farmer-types though, a place where they could all gather and "oooh and ahhh" over the latest farm tractors and 12 row planters.

In a side note, I am happy that I will be able to watch the Daytona 500 at my home this Sunday. However, it will also be run on the anniversary of Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s death in the same race back in '01.

But more than that, I am extremely happy to be able to go home, even if it is only a little while... as I fly back here on the 22nd. Some time is better than no time I suppose...

For now though, I shall retire to Sleepyland, as I am near to falling asleep at the keyboard.
