Good Enough
Ok, so yet another song title for post title. This time it's Evanescence. So yes, I am home for the holiday, I got back Wed night and tentatively leave again on Monday. A few days is better than none I suppose.
As it has come to pass, the NASCAR season has ended. Jimmie Johnson won the championship (BOOOO!). Normally I don't want to see the season end, but as the work was getting "old" i didn't mind so much. Though, I'd have liked to see the last race. It just got tiring the past 4 weeks: go to Atlanta, GA. Drive straight to Dallas, TX. From there to Phoenix, AZ. And finally from Phoenix to Miami, FL. No flying involved. Not exactly sure what I will be doing at the shop in the off season, but I assume I will find out.
Oh, and I now have a new phone!

I like it so far.
It is nearly time to set up a wireless network in the apartment. To gain space in the living room, my wife moved her computer to the bedroom, with the DSL "modem". I had mine set up on a 10/100 network to it in the living room, but I am not running a patch cord that far in here. So my computer is internet-less. But I'm only here for a few days :( so I will remedy this later with a WRT54G or GS and a decent WiFi card.
The big thing though is that I got to see my family again. I like that.

Forgot something?
Like the entire month of October maybe?
Since I can't seem to sleep right now, I thought I might as well update this here page.
And yes, I did exist during the month of October, so here is a rundown of events that took place during that time:
Sept 19-26: Off week at home! Anniversary, Picked up car.
Sept 26-Oct 2: In Kansas City, KS. Got to watch race from the infield. w00t!
Oct 2-8: NRE event somewhere in Missouri, and then in Bentonville, Arkansas at Wal-Mart headquarters. joy. Atleast I got to drive a nice blue Hummer H2.
Oct 9-16: Charlotte, NC for race weekend.
Oct 16-22: Off time at home again! Home time is nice.
Oct 23-30: In Atlanta, GA for race weekend, with interruption:
Oct 26-27: Fly to Dallas, TX to help set up an NRE to pass inspection. Yes, flew to TX just for that.
Oct 30-present: Back in Dallas for race weekend.
That folks is about all there is. I miss home alot, including, my wife, my kids, my computer, and my car. In that order.
Oh, and Texas does not seem to be a warm state. I guess it was in the 60's this week and last, but the wind is wicked cold out here.
