So I'm in Chicago...

Yup, I made it to Chicago. Something like 7 hours late, but I made it regardless. Just short of turning onto I-94 to Chicago, I stopped at exit 4 on I-196 to grab a soda and stretch my legs a bit. As I attempt to leave, my car refuses to start. No turning over, no nothing. Oh goody. Therein lies the 7 hours late bit. In that time, I got towed to Fisher Body Shop in Benton Harbor (the city I was in at the time), had a new starter tracked down and delivered, and had said starter installed and then was on my merry way. Had the new starter installed because it was concluded the starter solenoid (the part that lets power flow to the starter) was not functioning, hence the no cranking even though the battery was good.
A way down the road after leaving the shop, I stop at a McDonald's in Indiana because it happened to be 7PM EST and I had not eaten yet, and therefore was hungry. Went in, got food, came back out, car no start. WTF!? Did I not just fix this problem? However, this time it was temporary, and I was underway shortly after. I then made it to the McCormick Place Hyatt and parked it.
So I'm on day 1.5 now, and still haven't set anything up, though it looks as if all is here, so that's good. The convention center the auto show is in looks to me to be ginormous.
The hotel here is way upscale, I feel a tad out of place. Expensive as all get out too: the room rate does not include parking, which is $25 per day. I'm here 20 days, easy math says that is $500 just in PARKING! They have High Speed internet here too, but thats another $10 per day. However I am in thier Buisness Center and I guess they let you on free in here "after hours". So yay. Battery life says about 38 mins left, so I guess I better type fast.
I am told that there should be time in there somewhere for me to be able to go around and take some pix of the cars and such, so I *hope* to be able to and post them as well.

Other than that, nothing very exciting has happened since the last update. Did taxes, so that is good.

Well, that is all for now, and assuming the connection is still live, this will be readble to who ever may stop by and read it.
