Another one bites the dust

This week marked the partial shuttering of the LANning community of Psychorage. It is still up enough to show the LAN calender, but the forums and journals have been nixed. Sad that it came to that, but much bitching and whining was done in those forums about stupid stuff. Plus the proprietor of the site, Seej, seems to have received a personally threatening phone call regarding something having to do with the site. Therefore, it is done.

I haven't really been up to much myself. I did go to the RoC LAN party on Saturday the 20th, which was fun. Pics are in the LAN section of my gallery. Then more work, then Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was a decent day, went to my parents, then to my aunts house for a family gathering.

Oops... My bad!

Yeah, so its been a few weeks since I updated...
I accumulated an unacceptable 3 weeks worth of Friday w00t!'s on my last entry.
What have I been up to in the meanwhile? Well, not much really.
Go to work, go home, mothing much. There is a LAN tomorrow, I may or may not be going to it. I havent really decided yet if I wanna LAN, or if I wanna sleep. Im sure I'll figure it out before tomorrow. Maybe.

In other news, the end of the NASCAR season is upon us, as Sunday is the final race. Kurt Busch (#97) currently leads the points standings, to my displeasure. However, this is preferable to Jeff Gordon (#24) or Jimmie Johnson (#48) leading. I sitll would rather have Dale Earnhardt Jr (#8) leading the standings. Well, I'd actually rather have Dale Earnhardt Sr (#3) leading, though since he died in the 2001 Daytona 500, this is not possible. There is still a chance Jr may win the championship, but he is 72 points back of the leader, he needs to win this next race and have the top 3 guys; Busch, Johnson, and Gordon, drop out of the race very early on. One might, maybe even 2, but all 3? Not likely. But we shall see.

Allright, apparently I've run out of things to write...
So Im off, for now.
Take care y'all.

American Kryptonite

Well, it's election day. And that's a good thing. It means that we can stop seeing and hearing these slanderous campaign ads.

This past Saturday was a LAN party. It was the Boxheads Halloween LAN party, so alot of people dressed up. I did. Alot of people still asked me if I was in costume :/ I dressed up as "Larry the Cable Guy", so yes, it wasn't a radical departure from my norm. I had the sleeve-less flannel shirt on instead of a T-Shirt, but the rest was the same. I thought I looked pretty accurate. Someday I may post a picture... However the pictures of the LAN are up HERE. The last pic is kinda blurry, but is funny.
I had to reformat at the LAN, but I had WinXP back up and running fairly quickly, in about an hour and a half. That is one reason I have Windows on C: and everything else on D:, so that when I had to format, I didnt lose any programs. Although, Thunderbird, my email client, acted like a new install, and I lost my address book and all my emails.
After the format, everything ran flawlessly, and I had a blast. Alot of gaming including Battlefield Vietnam, Star Wars Battlefront, and alot of FarCry. Joint Ops didnt get played though. But CounterStrike:Source did, but not by me. It looks better running on Half Life 2's Source engine, but I still don't play it. I will play HL2, but it has to come out first, supposedly in 2 weeks actually. But we'll see. It was *supposed* to come out September 30th.
Of last year...

I'll be back.
