Yup
So, this past weekend was great.
Saturday morning got up and went to the Synergy LAN party down in Kzoo. Once there met up with Jocelyn and Brian. Much fun was had by all, as far as I know anyhow.
I had an issue whilst there as well, but it really was minor. For a little while, I couldn't see the rest of the network's computers. I even had the experts, Seej and Griminal, stumped as to why. Then later, it cleared up. I really shouldn't have made a issue of it, since I could still get on the game servers to play. Which is the whole point of being there. That, and being around friends.
I have my pictures up already. They can be found here .

Save a horse, ride a 'Cuda
Friday woke up and made the trip to Frankenmuth to goto the AutoFest up yonder. Frankenmuth is a nice little town, but it was so crowded with cars, people, and stuff it was difficult to navigate. Had lunch at the Eidelweiss (sp?) restaurant. It was quite good. I was kind of distracted from eating by watching the cars check in for the show at the Dodge dealership across the street from the restaurant. We then went down to the Bronner's CHRISTmas store. 'Twas the second time I'd been there. Liked it better this time. The first time I was young, and anticipated a store full of cool toys. Nope, it is a store full of decorations, accessories, and alot of things that put the CHRIST back in Christmas. Which is cool. It is a HYUGE store.
Then there was the AutoFest. I had a blast. I may be a computer geek now, but I was a car guy first. Especially the older classics and muscle cars. The show was said to be in Heritage Park, but instead appeared to be right on Main street, the strip of Main (M-83) between Weiss and Gennesse streets. And i think they crammed the whole city of Frankenmuth onto that street just for us. I swear the whole city was out there, as well as a band on each corner. Sometimes 2, and they tried to play over each other. Annoying.
But the cars were cool. I have some pics here.
The last car in the pics, the Jaguar E-Type, we followed most of the way back to East Lansing. Until we passed it.
I also have some pics of my super-mega-awesome van here and here
This weekend, Synergy LAN Party.

Where were you when the world stopped turning?
Yup, its that day again.
9/11
Has it been 3 years already? I can still remember it like it was yesterday. I was here at work, cleaning out the #28 car (now #88) before we opened. Rich, the Tech manager here, comes running in the back saying America's being bombed, since that was what his wife called and said. So he flipped on CNN, moments before the second Boeing 767 slammed into the other tower. Needless to say, Rich, myself, and Tressa who was also there, just sorta stood there, trying to put together what we just saw. Was this real? A clip from an upcoming movie? No, sadly it was real. What?! Another one went down in a field? The Pentagon too?! What the Hell is gong on?! No, we didnt do any work that day. The cars sat silent. We opened the gates to let people in to watch the TV with us. I remeber seeing that first tower, noticed something about it, got the "Oh" in "Oh Shit" out, just as Rich closed his eyes and turned his head a moment before the tower came down. It seemed way to surreal to be real. But it was very real. Seeing the air traffice control screens with absolutly no airplanes in the sky what-so-ever. We went home at 1PM that day when the closed the mall. Went home and of course, watched CNN and MSNBC and ABC, NBC, and whatever channel had anything on about it.
On a different note, had a great weekend, will write about it a little later.

Thundervan Returns! What?
Yup, thas right, I cant hear you. Yesterday over in East Lansing / Okemos area, my makeshift exhaust system worked itself loose again, so I took it off before it fell off somewhere. So yeah, its really loud again. I intend to remedy this tonight.
Well, I'm at work now, so I'm gonna go for now. If I can think of more to write, I will do so later.
Take care you all.
