Update? Yeah, figured I should before I get 3 Friday w00ts on the same post. Not really much new here. Weathers been ok, nothing crazy been going on, so not much to write about. Im getting close to finishing Need for Speed Undergrounds "Underground" mode. Still ok enough at flying airplanes all crazy-like in BF1942 regular. Still ok at BF:V. Computers runnin ok, still overclocked and fast.
OOH! I did some exhaust work on the van so its semi-quiet now.
Uh, thas all for now. Will write something real later.

Thunderstruck!
Its a good thing I like thunderstorms! The past few days have all had storms in atleast part of the day. Down South of me, in Kalamazoo and lower, there was huge hail coming down as well. Softball sized they said. Hopefully it doesnt storm tonite, because Id like to sleep. The storms dont keep me awake, I just stay up to watch the storms. I was up till atleast 3am those past couple nights. I love watching storms, thunderstorms especially. Just sitting there in the dark, looking out the window. Yeah, I do my storm watching mostly from the indoors these days. Back in '98 (I think) when we had those "straight-line winds" blow through West Michigan, those 130 MPh winds everyone swore was tornados, but radar showed no rotation. Anyhow, I was out on the deck at our old appartment taking it all in, when all the hair on the back of my neck started standing up, then there was this blinding white flash with thunder at the exact same time. I almost didnt open the sliding door before bolting into the appartment. The lightning hit somewhere not too far from where I was standing, I am guessing anyhow since i couldnt see. Thats when I turned around and ran into the appt.
Therefore, I generally stay inside when storm-gazing now.
*Warning! Geek Speek approaching!*
In other news, I have finally achieved a very decent overclock on this Athlon 64. Ya see, they operate a bit differently in that respect versus other Athlons. cant just play with the multiplier adjustment to raise clock speed since they are half-locked. you can adjust it down, but not up. So you are left with adjusting the HyperTransport Links speed(HTT), which is the A64's version of a FrontSide Bus(FSB). But if you raise the HTT too much(hardly any), then the memory speeds get too far out of spec, and get all unstable like. Plus the HTT Link on the nForce3 Motherboards such as mine have a max speed of 600 MHz. Enter the setting known as LDT Multiplier. No, I have no clue what LDT means, but is default setting is 3x, and 3x200 (200= stock HTT)= 600 MHz. Thus rasing the HTT to over 205 resulted in great instability. Also there is a setting named MaxMem Speed, and you can set this to make your RAM run a different speeds. Default RAM speed for DDR400 is 200MHz too, just lke the HTT, and they also adjust simultaniously. So I set the MaxMemSpd to 166MHz. That and setting LDTx to 2.5x allow me to goto 237 on the HTT. yeah, so? So, the resulting Processor speed is still basically (FSB)x(CPU Multiplier). So 237x10=2370 MHz. Stock is 200x10= 2000 MHz. Thats an increase that is definatly felt while gaming.

Burn
Song title for post title, Five Iron Frenzy this time.
No, Im not trying to imply anything with the title.
Though, I did do some burning today. Leaves and wood and stuff.
Not much going on, just sick of hearing about Friends going off the air... every newscast, every comercial break has to say something about it. I never could watch Friends, or Seinfeld, or American Idol, Survivor, or any other "reality" shows.
ok, I've seen this on other sites when they dont have anything to say: take Winamp, randomize the songs, and write down the first 20 songs it plays. so here goes.
1. Stavesacre - wither ascend
2. Ac/DC- highway to hell
3. Mortification - Satans doom
4. Five Iron Frenzy - Ugly day
5. Dennis Leary - A**hole
6. Mortification - raise the chalice
7. Brooks 'n' Dunn - Neon moon
8. Petra - Who's on the Lords side
9. Metallica - attitude
10. Van Halen - drop dead legs
11. Joe Satriani - until we say goodbye
12. Bob & Tom - Beer belly blues
13. Five Iron Frenzy - Every new day
14. Stryper - Believe
15. Bride - Thorns
16. Audio Adrenaline - Secret
17. Aerosmith - walk this way
18. Tourniquet - claustropelunker
19. Garth Brooks - Standing outside the fire
20. Zao - the latter rain
and there you have it, my contribution to cyberspace today. a buncha songs, most of which no one has prolly ever heard.
Ok im done now. you can rest easy.
Oh, and Friday w00t to you all, as if there are sooooo many ppl who see this.
