Already?

Yup.

Im just messing around with my template, adjusting some fonts for readability and style. I also added a link to the fonts I am currently using on this page. So you can see it as I see it. Or something.

The header pic is also proof that I can take pictures that arent blurry. That picture was taken a few years ago on my non-digital Olympus 35mm camera and scanned in on a scanner that is old enough to not work with WinXP. But I didnt post it as proof. I like that picture. It looks pretty. The setting was a gravel pit lake out in Grand Haven. What you dont see off to the left of the frame is the old land yacht I used to have. A 1983 Chevy Caprice Wagon (HUGE!) that was leaking gas down the incline there.

Maybe this summer I'll get back out to Grand Haven again. Go and sit on the pier and watch the sun setting. Snap some more pictures, hopefully clear ones. Just relax and feel the breeze come in off Lake Michigan. That's one thing that I really like about summer, the nights dont get too chilly, and the breeze is not cold nor is it hot. Perfect night-time, windows down, radio off driving weather for me. Yep, Im rambling.

Well, Im done for now, I think.

Take care everyone.

Silence is Madness

Indeed. Album title for post title this time. Id guess that no one knows who the album is by.
Even when I read, i usually like to have some background music playing.

On the other hand, my van (Thundervan!) still has no muffler (still). I mean to remedy this soon, just have to get a little money and some time to do it. Albeit, it sounds cool at low speeds thru town, like it actuall has some power behind it. However listening to it roaring down the highway at 70-80 MPH for 45 to 55 minutes each way to work, it gets old.
While Im at it, the van could use new tires, prolly brakes, shocks, and new spark plugs. yay.

Contrary to the previous posts announcement that I would be going to this Saturday's LAN at ROC, I have to goto work all day instead.
so now the next LAN I will attempt to attend will be the Arena War in Battle Creek on May 15. Maybe I'll get that Saturday off. Maybe.

I did get the reformat / re-install of WinXP done. and since I have a spare 20Gig drive, after I installed Windows, hit Windows Update, installed Norton System Works, updated that, installed drivers, tweaked it, added some other essential programs, I used Norton Ghost to clone it to my other 20G. so when this install gets "dirty" I can just clone it back over. Unless some one puts a giant magnet near my spare HD. Which is highly unlikely, since I know I'm not gonna do that.
I had ideas of installing Win2003, but I noticed I lacked a Key... So back to XP.

I have grown fond of playing Battlefield Vietnam lately. At first it felt kinna funny, but now Im getting used to it. I still prefer Battlefield 1942 original recipe.
Still waiting for DooM3 and Half life 2. im pretty sure we will get DooM3 first. I read somewhere the Valv (HL2 developer) said that they would not hesitate to delay Half Life 2 untill 2005 (!) if would turn out to be a better game. When I read that, it sounded very ominous. If they do, it had better be DAMN good.

In my last post I mentioned that it was 78 degrees that day. Today it snowed a little. Tomorrow it'll be around 70. Thursday maybe even 80. Currently its 37.

Have a good day, even though its night.

A night to remember...

I have one of those every night. I sit here with my memories and think.

anyhow

I have posted the pix form the Boxheads LAN in FEBUARY and the 2004 Michigan International Auto Show, also from FEBUARY.
w00t! for prompt posting.
*Warning, the Boxheads pics are a "little" blurry. And by a little i mean alot. I blame the camera. Not my fault for not bringing my tripod ;)
The next LAN I hope to attend is the ROC LAN on May 1st.

I also think that soon I need to Format and re-install WinXP. its acting kinna funny. But I am always hesitant to do so bcuz I usually forget to back up something.
I will do this before the ROC LAN. Maybe even install Windows 2003 on my spare 20Gig Hard Drive so i can play with that OS...

* news man just said it hit 78 degrees here today!*

I have also recently seen "the passion of the Christ". good movie. It was bloody, sure, but no more so than others ive seen. However the violence level was way up there. But thats how it was back in the day of the Roman Empire. brutal people.

Also saw the NASCAR IMAX 3D movie last night. Yeah it may be a 55 minute documentary on NASCAR, but i thought it was cool. it shows stuff you dont get to see by watching races. lotta behind the scenes stuff. Plus i had a free pass. bcuz the local NBC affiliate, WOOD TV8, filmed a lil segment at my store. And the NASCAR simulator you see behind the reporter, thas me driving. However unless you see the film at the Celebration Cinema in Grand Rapids, you prolly wont see that "preview".

That is all for now. Take care.

Good Friday

I've always wondered why Good Friday is Good Friday. Seems like it should be Black Friday. I mean, look at what happened on Good Friday: Jesus was betrayed, arrested, got the crap beat out of him, got whipped, flogged, thorns stabbed in his head, got to drag his cross through the streets, up a hill, on which he got crucified. How does that make for a good day?
Now, Easter Sunday should be Good Sunday. Ya know, he rose from the dead, busted outta the tomb and said "HAHA Y'all! Im Back!" , well, not really those exact words, but you know what I mean.

And yes, I'm still going to post up the Boxheads LAN and the Autoshow 2004 pics soon, since I know you all are dying to see them.

and Im out. Later all
