A date which will live in infamy.
Yesterday marked the 63rd anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, initiating our involvement into World War II. Japan's quest for world domination didn't turn out so well. I can't see how they expected it to work, but I suppose you can't fault them for trying. We got their attention when we bombed Tokyo by suprise with B-25 Mitchell's launched from aircraft carriers. A daring move since the B-25 is too big for a carrier, but it kind of worked. What really worked was the 2 B-29's that flew over Japan. The ones that dropped the 2 Atomic bombs that obliterated Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The attack on Pearl was the major reason I was so against ever owning a Japanese car. Yet I like German cars, and the Nazi's did some of the worst things imaginable in WWII. That and I didnt like losing automotive jobs to Japan. Now, though, most overseas car companies have factories in the US. Profits still go overseas, but they employ Americans. So that is a good thing. That is why in recent years I have been willing to buy import cars, if I like them. And if I can't find an Amercian car I like.

I really need to get the heating situation figured out. Liquid Ice shower, anyone? I am not real fond of them, but damn do they wake you up!
It's been unseasonably "warm" the past few days, and rainy too. It may be December, but I'll take rain over snow anytime. Now all we need is a Thunderstorm. Thundersnow is neat too, but kinda freaky.
Also, Psychorage's death announcement may have been a bit premature. There is now 1 lone forum section open for posting in. So, until it becomes a tad uncivilized again, that is availble.
That is all.
