American Kryptonite

Well, it's election day. And that's a good thing. It means that we can stop seeing and hearing these slanderous campaign ads.

This past Saturday was a LAN party. It was the Boxheads Halloween LAN party, so alot of people dressed up. I did. Alot of people still asked me if I was in costume :/ I dressed up as "Larry the Cable Guy", so yes, it wasn't a radical departure from my norm. I had the sleeve-less flannel shirt on instead of a T-Shirt, but the rest was the same. I thought I looked pretty accurate. Someday I may post a picture... However the pictures of the LAN are up HERE. The last pic is kinda blurry, but is funny.
I had to reformat at the LAN, but I had WinXP back up and running fairly quickly, in about an hour and a half. That is one reason I have Windows on C: and everything else on D:, so that when I had to format, I didnt lose any programs. Although, Thunderbird, my email client, acted like a new install, and I lost my address book and all my emails.
After the format, everything ran flawlessly, and I had a blast. Alot of gaming including Battlefield Vietnam, Star Wars Battlefront, and alot of FarCry. Joint Ops didnt get played though. But CounterStrike:Source did, but not by me. It looks better running on Half Life 2's Source engine, but I still don't play it. I will play HL2, but it has to come out first, supposedly in 2 weeks actually. But we'll see. It was *supposed* to come out September 30th.
Of last year...

I'll be back.
